Heavy head
eyelids fall
I rip open my skin
To forget it all
I shed every layer
To see what's inside
'Cause all I want is a place
Somewhere warm to hide
But it's too cold in here
Full of spiders and ghosts
Full of everything I try to be
And what I hate most
But I use myself anyway
Make due with what I've got
Can I turn on the heater?
Melt all the frost?
It's like winter
Without your touch
Cause when you hold me
The heat is too much
I just want your arms around me
Without the fear of letting go
Just like it used to be
'Cause I'm not prepared for snow

Monroe Vampire: I like this. Very nice use of rhyme. Gives it an older, classic feel that works; while still being urgent/current. I like. -- Mykal
