Don't Be Vain, Happiness Is Shame

Happiness is vain
Self-love is incestuous
When you touch me I’m afraid
Because surely it’s a lie
‘Cause I don’t understand why
And it’s better that way
Or else I wouldn’t need you here
Wouldn’t care if you were near

I just wanna see the autumn leaves
Changing color, falling down
I’ll wear this costume religiously
When you meet me on the ground
See you later, summer breeze
Pack your suitcase, wear your frown

Life isn’t simple
No matter what they say
No matter how they say it
No matter if it’s true
They’ll surely fill your head with nonsense
That won’t mean shit in the end
And the end is when we die
Won’t matter if we try
